Ms. Barbara Martin Schuman, 84

Mrs. Barbara Ann (Martin) Schuman, age 84, of Hoschton, Georgia, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021.

She was a member of Buford First United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Barbara was born August 4, 1936 in Fairland, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late William Sam Martin and Pauline (McKinnon) Martin. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Richard Allen Schuman, Sr., children Richard Allen Schuman, Jr. (Kim), William Craig Schuman (Cathy), and Terri Suzanne Waterhouse (Russell). She had seven grandchildren, Joshua Harris Schuman (Andrea), Jennifer Lynn Williams, Adam Craig Schuman, Chelsea Meagan Peek (Kevin), Kayla Maren Hinton (Randy), Amanda Leigh Benevedo (John), and Austin Allen Schuman. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, Christian Isaiah Schuman, Aidan Joshua Schuman, Emma Rae Waterhouse, Luke Russell Waterhouse, Bailee Rose Benevedo, James Brody Schuman, Lauren Nicole Hinton, Jaxon Edward Hinton, Xander Reid Hinton, and Lincoln Allen Peek.

Memorial Park Funeral Home East Braselton Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

Although I never met Ms. Barbara, I have met an abundance of loss over the past 2 years. My heart goes out to the family & friends. Grief has no timeline so don’t try to rush it. Grief is as individual as y’all are. God Bless you all & may you find peace in happy memories and in the knowledge that she has met her Father 🙏💔🙏
