Your family are in my prayers. I always thought a lot of Joanne. I can still hear play and sing. She is now in a place with no heartache and pain and basking in the love of Jesus.

Even though we couldn't hit a lick at a snake, Sister Gilstrap played cover for us many times in our feeble attempt to sing praises to the Glory of GOD in services, whether it was Revivals, our monthly treks for singings at other churches, camp meetings, or just our home church. She ALWAYS said yes even if we didn't ask her to play. It was like a given when "The Strength Family" was called up on stage for a song request, she got up and walked with us as our personal pianist. She was just such a PRECIOUS, BEAUTIFUL HOLY SPIRIT woman. I'm so sorry for your loss Tim and Angie, ya'll are like our Brother and Sister, and always will be, both on Earth and again in Heaven. 😭🙏

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of such a precious, Godly woman. Her gentle spirit and her great many talents were such a big part of my admiration for her. She was most certainly a blessing in my life as I am sure is true for everyone who knew her. We love all of you. May the Lord fill you all with the most precious of memories and comfort you all.
Tim and Angie, I can feel your loss. Sis Joanne is at home with Jesus and Daddy/Mama (Morris/Ruby Strength), who also loved her very much and we were very close to the family growing up and over the years. We grew up in church together at 1st Congregational Holiness Church of East Point, singing all around at our different sister churches, Youth Camps and Camp Meetings and Sis Joanne always played the piano at our church, she played and sang with Tim and Angie, and with Bud and Betty, and for us when we sang specials as children/youth. She even played the music for my wedding as Angie sang. She was such an inspiration to us, strong faith in the Lord, very Godly Saint no matter the circumstances-always a lady, and a friend to all. She is greatly missed. No more sickness or pain. Tim and Angie, you are always in my prayers, but extra ones will go up during this hard period of loss/grief. We love you very much. May the Holy Spirit comfort you. Love & Prayers Rita
