Mr. Louis Dean Robertson, 80

            Mr. Louis Dean Robertson, 80, of Clermont passed away April 7, 2021, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following a brief illness.


            Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel -- Main. The Rev. Danny Newbern and the Rev. David Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Dawsonville, Ga. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, April 11, 2021, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.


            Born on July 25, 1940, in Dawsonville, Georgia, Mr. Robertson was the son of the late Taylor and Mildred Robertson of Flowery Branch. He was a retired auto mechanic and former co-owner of Frank Turk’s Auto Repair. Mr. Robertson was a longtime member of Oakwood United Methodist Church and a lifetime tentholder at Lumpkin Campground.


            Mr. Robertson is survived by his daughter, Betsy Robertson (Paul Brown) of Gainesville; Angie Derrick (Fred) of Clarksville; sister, Susan Leslie (Steve) of St. Simons Island; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Robertson (Annette) of Gainesville; granddaughter, Skylar Derrick, Clarkesville; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.


Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Dear Besty & Paul, Our condolences. We only had the opportunity to meet Dean a couple of times, but he was a gentle, lovely and loveable human being. We are the better for having made is acquaintance.
