Mrs. Mary Helen Martin Barry, 89

Mary Helen Martin Barry, 89, of Columbia, SC passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Richland Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Taylor officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Born on April 22, 1929 in Meltonsville, AL she was the daughter of the late Ruben and Johnnie Shaver Childress. She was retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Center where she was nurse. She was of the Episcopal faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barry is preceded in death by her husbands, Samuel M. Martin and Ross Barry; daughters, Patricia Beck, and Jeanne Merck.

Mrs. Barry is survived by her daughter, Tina Martin Brannon of Columbia; son, Samuel Martin of Gainesville; 7 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
