Mrs. Nadra Putman Strickling, 81, of Duluth & Barnesville, GA, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020.

Born on April 15, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Edward Putman, Sr. and the late Margaret Baker Putman. She was owner and operator of Nadra Strickling Tax Services. Nadra loved gardening, flowers of any kind, and people! Everywhere she went she talked to everyone and came home with a pocket full of seeds.  She spent her lifetime serving the youth and children in the church.  Nadra was an avid storyteller, and she came up with some whoppers!  The children loved her!!


In addition to her parents, Nadra is preceded in death by her sister, Lucy Belle Putman Goolesby and brothers, Calvin Edward Putman, Jr and Phillip Gerald Putman.


Mrs. Strickling is survived by her husband James Eugene Strickling, Jr.; daughter, Katrina Cherie Strickling Tobin of Barnesville, GA; sons, James Eugene Strickling, III of Gainesville, GA, William Allen Strickling of Colorado Springs, CO; 7 grandchildren:  Joshua Strickling, Jarred Strickling, Aubrey Strickling, Keira Strickling, Nathan Strickling, Luke Strickling, and Juliana Strickling; sister, Margarette Anne Putman Milam; brother, Jonathan Putman; and a number of other relatives.

I had the privilege knowing Nadra for many years at Colonial Baptist Church. We still haven't filled the hole Jimmy and Nadra left when they moved to Barnesville, GA. Nadra was beautiful inside and out. Much love and sincere condolences to Jimmy, Katrina, Gene and Will. God Bless.

It was an honor and privilege to have known Nadra for the past 39 years. She is absolutely the kindest person I have ever known and was a whiz at doing taxes! She will be greatly missed by many people and family. Our loss is God’s gain. See you in heaven, Nadra!
