Mr. Randell Leon Smith, 64

Mr. Randell Leon Smith age 64 of Gainesville, Ga passed away on Friday February 19, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

          Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday February 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Tim Millwood will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday February 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

          Randell was born on January 21, 1957 to the late Leon L. Smith and Allie Ineze Millwood Smith. He was retired with North Georgia College where he worked in the maintenance department and was of the Church of Christ Faith. He is preceded in death by his parents.

          Mr. Smith is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Jim Johnson of Gillsville, Ga, and a host of other family members and friends.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

My greatest sympathies are sent to you in the loss of Randell. He always showed a caring, loving attitude to family and friends. The presence of your precious brother will be greatly missed, but may you find comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his mother and daddy.

joy and jim sorry to her about randells passing. I was the lady that cleaned your moms room while she was in the icu. I pray the Lord will comfort yalls hearts.

I'm so sorry and sending my deepest Sympathy..i remember Randall and lived across street from his Grandmother MS Lorena and my Mom MS Pethel would go over and play guitars and music and always enjoyed ..may God comfort and be with you ! Sincerely Donna Pethel Beem

Joy, I am so sorry for the loss of your precious brother, he was such a kind and gentle soul, and always willing to help anyone. All who knew him was much better for it! You have been a wonderful daughter and sister, no one could have done more than you for your family. May God comfort your heart and give you strength as you grieve.
