Bessie Mae (Edge) Pugh

Mrs. Bessie Mae Edge Pugh, 89, of Lula, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 at The Oaks in Baldwin following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on March 4, 1934 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Lillian Grover Edge. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pugh was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Pugh.

Mrs. Pugh is survived by her son, Donald Stephens of Ormond Beach, FL; daughter, Debra Stephens Bell (Robert Jett) of Lula; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty of Gainesville, Martha and Louise of AL; brothers, William Edge, Harold Edge both of Gainesville and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
