David Galshack

Mr. David Galshack of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born June 23, 1942 to the late Frank and Ann Galshack.

David joined the U.S. Air Force after high school and proudly served for four years.

After the service, he attended Florida Atlanta University and graduating in accounting. He spent his entire career as a CPA in Florida and retired just a few years ago. Nothing he enjoyed more than working with numbers and creating spreadsheets!

Dave was known to have a great sense of humor, loved his friends, and enjoyed racquetball, motorcycles, Sea-Doo’s and playing pickle ball.

Some of our favorite Dave’isms include: reminders to “Stay in the game”, “you win some, you lose some” and “them that’s got the gold makes the rules”.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sarah; his daughter, Eileen (David) of Alpharetta; brother, Richard of Gainesville; sister, Gloria Hammers of Ormond Beach, FL; two special grandsons, Matthew of Atlanta and Connor of Jacksonville, FL.

The family will welcome friends on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Dr. Gainesville, GA.
