Louise B. (Brookshire) Wright

Mrs. Louise B. (Brookshire) Wright, age 85, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Hopewell Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Louise was born November 27, 1938 in Gainesville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Brookshire and Mary Fortenberry Brookshire. She is also preceded in death by the love of her life, husband J.W. “Dub” Wright; granddaughter, Jennifer Baird and a brother, Glen Brookshire.

She is survived by her son, James Wright; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Joel Clark; eight grandchildren, Daniel, Amanda, Levi, Wesley, Jessica, Joshua and Jason; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild brothers and sisters-in-law, Cecil and Juanita Brookshire and Horace and Carol Brookshire.

Louise was a lifelong member of Hopewell Baptist Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She was an avid gardener. She was one of the oldest surviving members in the Candler community and was fondly known as “Mom” to everyone. Louise was proudly modest, moderately vain and loved by all.
