When not watching the Atlanta Falcons or NASCAR, he enjoyed family gathering with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters-in-laws, and other family members. He and his wife, Paula, enjoyed their many trips to Pigeon Forge, Cherokee, NC, Blue Ridge GA, Hilton Head, Outer Banks, NC, and their beloved "River Dream" camper in the mountains of North Georgia.
