Clarence E. Howell

Mr. Clarence E. Howell, age 86, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was born to the late Claude Howell and Emily Howell on June 13, 1939 in Ocilla, Georgia. He was a Carpenter for most of his life and was known as a “master carpenter”.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Reverend Bobby Griffin and Reverend Maverick Hooper will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday, March 1, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Mr. Howell is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathy Adams; brothers, Haward Howell, Herman Howell, Wendall Howell; and grandson, Cory Key.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucy Howell of Gainesville; sons, Jimmy (Debra) Norris of Gainesville, Jeff Howell of Leesburg, Jody (Sherry) Howell of Gainesville; daughters, Tammy (Wayne) Holland of Carnesville, Jeani (Doug) Harrell of Gainesville, Janie (Troy) Brackett of Watkinsville; grandchildren, Chris (Kelly) Key, Chassity Brooke Hooper, Chelsey Shubert, Katie Hooper, Alex (Courtney) Chavez, Nick Norris, Leah (Cody) Long, Chase Adams; great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews; sisters, Nell Dixon of Gainesville, Francis (James) Beard of Flowery Branch; and special friends, Ferrell Bray and Paul McElmurray.
